What is the mystery of a girl, the CBI is trying to solve in the Disha Salian case?

A major contradiction has emerged from the Mumbai Police investigation file in the Disha Salian death case, catapulting the entire case back into legal thriller mode. According to the police theory so far and statements from Rohan Rai and other friends, Disha was taken to the hospital on that fateful night of June 8, 2020, by Himanshu Shikhare, Indranil Vaidya, and Deep Ajmera—meaning only three men. However, the official statement recorded on June 15, 2020, by a police constable on duty at the hospital, has added a new twist to the story.

According to the statement recorded by API Rahul Devde on June 15, 2020 (page 231), Constable Santosh Kachirath Gungune (Buckle No. 093127), posted at Shatabdi Hospital (Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital), clearly stated that on-duty Dr. Dharmesh informed him at 2:10 a.m. that two boys and a girl had brought an unconscious woman for treatment. When the constable went to enter the MLC register, one of the boys gave his name as Himanshu Shikhare and identified the victim as Disha Satish Salian (28 years old). However, the name of the third person accompanying her, the girl, was not recorded in the register.

The biggest question now is: who was this mystery girl? Did the police attempt to identify her or record her statement separately? Which vehicle stopped outside the hospital on the night Disha was brought to the hospital, who got off it, and who entered with the stretcher? All these answers could have been clarified within minutes from CCTV footage. But did the Malwani police seize the hospital footage at that time? If footage was taken, why is its record and the girl’s photo missing from the investigation report?

This new revelation has sparked speculation on the internet and social media. People are questioning whether the woman at Shatabdi Hospital was the same mystery girl mentioned in the video seen outside Sushant Singh Rajput’s house after his death? However, these are mere claims and cannot be considered definitive until official electronic evidence is available. The question remains: was there a link between the two women, or were they completely different?

CDR, Mobile Location, and Police Investigation Required
From a legal and technical perspective, unraveling this mystery is not impossible. By rigorously questioning Himanshu Shikhare and other eyewitnesses present at the hospital that night, the girl’s name and address could easily be discovered. Furthermore, if the unidentified woman’s mobile location, call detail record (CDR), and tower dump data are examined, it will become clear why she arrived at the hospital at that time and what her connection was to the main characters in this case.

Constable Santosh Gungune’s statement, recorded in the police file, is an official document that cannot be refuted. It clearly states, quoting a doctor, that a young woman is unconscious and was brought in for treatment by two boys and a girl. When the rest of the case documents only mention men, how did the “mystery girl” mentioned in the official MLC and the constable’s report vanish into thin air? Only the answer to this unresolved question could reveal the biggest truth in the Disha Salian death case.
Recently, discussions and claims have been circulating on social media and in some media reports that a “mystery girl” has fled the country or is hiding abroad. The name of a woman named Radhika Nehlani is primarily at the center of this discussion.
On social media and in some discussions, various claims are being made regarding the role and identity of this unidentified woman. It is also being said that the accused are settling her abroad at their own expense to protect her from CBI investigation. However, no specific person has officially been confirmed to have fled abroad.

Following an order from the Bombay High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has formally registered an FIR in this case. Currently, the CBI’s Special Crime Unit is examining CCTV footage, electronic data, and related statements to establish the identity of this unidentified woman and to ascertain the circumstances of the night of the incident.
