You don’t need to go to the post office and wait for hours or stand in long queues. Through the Dak Seva app, you can avail of a variety of services, from tracking parcels to booking speed post, e-receipts, and making digital payments using UPI/QR codes. India Post tweeted about the app from its official account. Describing the app, the postal department wrote, “Now the post office is just a click away.” This digital initiative by India Post aims to make postal services easier, faster, and smarter on your mobile.
Using the Dak Seva app, you can track your parcel on your mobile. Apart from this, booking of speed post can also be done through the app. Also, e-receipt and information about the post office near your home can be obtained from the app. Not only this, calculation of postage for letters and parcels can also be done through the app. Information about the interest being given on savings schemes is also available on the app. Digital payments can also be made using the app through UPI/QR code.
Android users can download the app from Google Play Store and iPhone users can download it from Apple App Store. After downloading the app, log in with your number. You will find all the service options on the home page of the app.
