Iran’s representative in India, Dr. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, has issued a befitting reply to Donald Trump’s statement. He said that Iran does not want to negotiate with the United States because they started this war. “We have experienced this twice with them. We were negotiating with them, and they attacked us. We must defend ourselves. We are ready to shed blood for our dignity, our independence, and our country. We are not ready to surrender to our enemies. We will stand firm in this war until the end.” Trump had said that Iran wanted to negotiate. But despite this willingness to negotiate, the United States will continue to attack Iran.
In an interview with news agency ANI, Dr. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi said about the ongoing war between Israel and the United States, “I don’t know any timeframe for this war, but I do know that Iran is ready to continue this war until the end, even for five years.” If world leaders want to stop this war, they must unite and try to stop it.
Regarding the ongoing war between Israel and the United States, Dr. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi said, “We did not want war. While we were at the negotiating table, they attacked us. They started this war. These global problems and conflicts are not caused by Iran, but by those on the other side.”
Regarding the attacks in the Middle East, Dr. Abdul Majid said, “The United States is more than 6,000 miles away from Iran. Where are the bases that the United States is using to attack Iran? The United States is relying on Iran’s neighboring countries for this attack. Yesterday, I heard from some American senators that the United States has established 45 bases around Iran. Before the war, we asked our neighbors not to provide the United States with bases that could be used against Iran. But the neighbors did not do so.”
Iran’s representative in India stated that we are not happy with other people’s suffering, or the lack of gas, petrol, or oil, but we must defend ourselves. It is the duty and responsibility of world leaders to put pressure on the United States. Tell them, “Please, we are suffering, so stop this war.”
Regarding the question of granting India any concessions in the Strait of Hormuz, Dr. Abdul Majid said, “I can say that the hearts of most Indians are with Iran. I can even say that they are against war. I told my country that the people of India are suffering from a shortage of gas and petrol. Indian ships will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without any hindrance.”
