New Delhi: During a discussion on the issue of LPG and a potential energy crisis in the Lok Sabha, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched a scathing attack on the opposition. She said the government is fully prepared to deal with any unexpected situation in the country, but the opposition is busy creating ruckus instead of listening to serious discussions in Parliament.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, the Finance Minister said it is ironic that even when the government is stating its preparedness on crucial issues like potential disruptions in the supply chain and the availability of LPG, the opposition is still unwilling to listen to her answers. Taking a dig at the opposition, she said, “They want to pursue their own agenda. They sit on the steps of Parliament, drink tea, and talk about LPG. This is our opposition.”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman condemned the opposition’s uproar in the Lok Sabha, saying, “Some difficulties have arisen in India due to the conditions in other countries.” The central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is taking steps. Steps are being taken, from providing funds to other preparations. However, the opposition is behaving irresponsibly, giving the public no hope. We must condemn this.
He said that in the face of the crisis caused by other countries, all parties should have risen above party lines and come together in the national interest, supporting the government and instilling hope among the public. Prime Minister Modi is working tirelessly to ensure that citizens do not face any problems. However, opposition members have considered creating a ruckus their job. This is unfortunate.
BJP leader Nishikant Dubey lashed out at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi for not being serious about the LPG crisis and creating a deadlock in Parliament while sitting on the stairs with his fellow leaders at Makar Dwar, drinking tea. He said that he did so despite Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla prohibiting picnics at the Makar Dwar of Parliament, and that strict action should be taken against him.
