After attending mother’s funeral, PM Modi inaugurates Metro and new train service in West Bengal

Kolkata: After performing the last rights of his mother Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express – the first Vande Bharat Express of West Bengal. PM also inaugurates Metro and several other projects of more than Rs. 7800 Crores.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has again proved that he is the main servant of the country. The Prime Minister did not stay away from the development issue even as the rituals were progressing following the death of his mother Heeraben.

PM Modi chaired the meeting of National Ganga Council in Kolkata virtually from Gandhinagar, which was attended by the Union Jal Shakti Minister and other Union Ministers who are members of the Council besides the Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

The Prime Minister rushed into the ceremony after taking his mother’s body to the pyre. The Prime Minister gave the green light for railway development in West Bengal. He inaugurated railway development projects through video conferences. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya took to Twitter to say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown how he puts the country first by fulfilling his duty to his mother.
